Being a Social Enterprise
As a social enterprise Dynamix has social aims. Our mission statement is:
Dynamix aims to create a fairer society by developing people's skills for participation, cooperation, inclusion, play and enterprise. We achieve this through providing creative training, consultation, facilitation and publications. We help people to explore serious issues in a fun way.
Co-operative Values and Principles:
Dynamix is a co-operative. This means that we aim to put the values and principles of the co-operative movement into practice, both in the work we do and the way we operate. Co-operatives are based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and solidarity. In the tradition of their founders, co-operative members believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others. As well as these we also have our own unique set of core values:
Dynamix Core Values:
Dynamix believes passionately in the importance of play and fun and we think this is essential if you aim to interest and engage your participants. Dynamix is also committed to our other core values of respect, inclusion, co-operation and empowerment.
Being a Workers Cooperative
Cooperatives are businesses that are owned and run by their members and being a workers cooperative means Dynamix is owned and run by its workers.
In Dynamix we have decided:
- that every worker can become a director
- that we have a flat structure (which means no one is the boss)
- that every worker receives the same rate of pay (whatever their role)
We love being a cooperative. It means all of our workers care passionately about Dynamix and are really committed to the work we do. We think its the best type of organisation to work within.
